Laura Usin-Verhoff is a NJ/NY licensed Landscape Architect with over twenty years of design experience. Laura produces high quality designs that are not only beautiful, but also compliment the surrounding environment.

Laura began her career working for Bronx River Restoration rescuing abandoned empty spaces along the Bronx River and turning these lots into usable green spaces. She has over ten years of experience creating parks and playgrounds in the five boroughs of New York City. For the past decade, Laura has designed and overseen the installation of both large and small scale residential landscapes. She works with a client to develop a scope of work within a budget and creates a blueprint to bring their property to its full potential.

Laura holds a B.S. from Fordham University, as well as a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from SUNY-College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York. She has won numerous awards for her designs including a NY ASLA Merit Award and a NAHRO National Award of Excellence. Her garden was recently featured in the March 2014 issue of Maplewood Matters Magazine.

Laura is a member of the Maplewood, New Jersey community and is married with two daughters.
